Union Raid Planner
How this planner works — a heuristic that maximises total damage, not guaranteed optimal
This tool is intended to automate Union Raid target assignment while maximizing counted damage — damage counts only up to each boss's health. If all five bosses of a level can be killed, it pursues the least amount of wasted damage; otherwise, it pursues maximum damage. On a level it can clear, each boss is given the exact smallest set of hits that still reaches its target; on the last level it cannot clear, hits are instead spent greedily on whatever adds the most counted damage. It searches element orders under a time budget (up to 120 orders) and keeps the best plan it finds. It then refines the plan with a large-neighbourhood search: a few members' trio choices are released and reassigned, weighted towards the members who report more than one trio, and a change is kept only if the counted damage does not drop. When only a few members report more than one trio it tries every combination instead, which is exact; when nobody does, it skips the search entirely. The plan as a whole is a heuristic, which DOES NOT guarantee the optimal solution but should come fairly close. Each row of the damage table is one trio that member can actually field — a unit can only be fielded once, so the planner picks one trio per member and never mixes elements from two of that member's rows, choosing those trios across the whole union at once; by default it also assumes that no player attacks the same element twice, and the repeat-hit setting relaxes this by allowing one second hit on the same element at the strength you choose. The kill margin setting is the safety cushion a kill should have, entered either as a percentage of the boss HP or as an absolute damage value: Soft mode still plans straight at the boss HP and merely flags kills whose overkill falls below the margin, while Hard mode reserves that margin on top of the HP and does not count a boss below it as secured. Results report how many levels the roster clears, how far into the next level it gets, and how much more damage would be needed to clear it.
Boss Configuration
Soft: the planner aims only at the boss HP — no deliberate overkill — and warns about any kill whose overkill is smaller than the margin. Hard: the planner reserves the margin on top of the boss HP; a boss below that is not counted as secured, so the plan does not advance past that level.
